Upon graduating, she was cast as lead singer aboard the Pacific Princess cruise ship, touring internationally for 12 months and performing a variety of musical shows and cabarets. Madeline then relocated to Japan, where she performed as a soloist in the Broadway revue Encore! at Tokyo DisneySea. Returning to Australia in 2006, Madeline made her professional musical theatre debut in CATS (The Really Useful Group). Originally cast as Jennyanydots, she later moved into the role of Jellylorum/Griddlebone, touring throughout Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, Macau and China over the following two years. In 2010, Madeline performed in the Australian premiere of Georgia Stitt’s Alphabet City Song Cycle, and the following year shared the stage with Georgia Stitt and John Bucchino as part of their Australian concert series. Other professional musical theatre credits include Jekyll & Hyde (TML Enterprises) and Gale Edwards’ acclaimed 2012 production of Chess (The Production Company). In 2014, Madeline rejoined the international cast of CATS, touring Asia as a swing and covering and performing the role of Grizabella. When the production continued to New Zealand and Australia in 2015, she was appointed Vocal Captain. In 2018, Madeline performed her self-devised cabaret What is This Thing Called Love? as part of the Mackay Cabaret Festival. Alongside her performing career, Madeline is a passionate and in-demand singing teacher, vocal director and masterclass host. With a strong focus on technique and performance, she has taught students who have gone on to train at some of Australia’s leading performing arts institutions, including WAAPA, ECMT, Griffith University and NIDA, as well as perform professionally in musicals throughout Australia and internationally. Since 2020, Madeline and her husband Jordan have run Stage Arts Geelong, creating a vibrant performing arts community for children and adults. After graduating, Jordan went on to perform in productions including Jekyll & Hyde, Sweeney Todd (Anthony), Side Show(Jake), Once on This Island, Les Misérables and The Sound of Music (Captain von Trapp). In 2010, Jordan produced and directed The Music of Georgia Stitt, a revue of Stitt’s work that included the Australian premiere of the Alphabet City Song Cycle. Other directing credits include West Side Story, Closer Than Ever, Edges and many musical theatre showcases and performance projects. Most recently, Jordan co-directed What We See From Here, an original revue featuring Australian-written musical theatre works. In addition to his performing and directing credits, Jordan has held roles in company management on the Australian tours of acclaimed composers Jason Robert Brown, John Bucchino and Georgia Stitt. Since 2020, Jordan, alongside his wife Madeline, has run Stage Arts Geelong, a performing arts studio dedicated to nurturing a love of performing in both children and adults. Together, they have created a supportive and welcoming community where students can build confidence, develop their skills and experience the joy of being on stage. In 2010 she studied at Patrick Studios Australia in the Fulltime Performing Arts Course, followed by the Fulltime Music Theatre Course, directed by Andrew Hallsworth in 2011. She has trained vocally with Madeline Cain, Tim Smith, Sally Bourne and Lisa-Marie Parker. Her onscreen credits include various TVC’s as well as featured and minor roles on shows such as Neighbours, Blue Heelers, Horrace and Tina and was a host on Nickelodeon’s TVSN Series. Remy has performed as a soloist and ensemble member in many events including Hats Off AIDS Benefit; Morning Melodies with Sylvie Paladino at Hamer Hall; Think Pink Charity Ball; Dance Cancer Initiative; AusDance; Racing Victoria; Starry Starry Night at the Crown Palladium, Lisa-Marie Parker’s Cabaret Night and has been featured in many nationwide Rock Eisteddfod’s for Foxtel’s Ovation. Remy also wrote, directed and performed a one-woman cabaret The Book of Remy at Chapel off Chapel in 2014. Her choreographic credits include various pieces at Centrestage Performing Arts School, Showfit Showcase and PSA; Old Mother Hubbard at the Tivoli Theatre; Suitcases, Baggage & Other Synonyms Cabaret in the Melbourne Fringe Festival; the opening and closing of the BullyFree Australia Campaign Ball at Etihad Stadium featuring Cosentino; numerous corporate events at The Crown Palladium; as well as Guys and Dolls, Beauty and the Beast and Sweet Charity with Ruyton and Trinity Grammar (Victorian Lyrebird Award nomination).
